Ryan Gosling may have recently announced that he wants to take a break from acting however according to reports today, he could be lined up to play the part of Oscar Pistorius in an up-and-coming biopic about the athelete.
According to the Daily Mail, a number of scripts are currently in development in Hollywood which tell the story of Oscar Pistorius, the South African Paralympian who is accused of murdering his girlfriend, model Reeva Steenkamp.
Oscar, who is currently on bail, is denying that he murdered the model on Valentine’s Day of this year and is claiming that he mistook Reeva for an intruder in his home.
Sources have said that two scripts that focus on the athelete and the events of that night are being developed in Hollywood and an annoucement is expected soon from one of the major film studios.

“You’ve got one of the world’s most famous sportsmen under arrest and a beautiful young woman who meets a violent death. Scripts began doing rounds within days of the scandal breaking,” said a source.
“Ryan [Gosling] has the kind of quiet magnetism that would make this project work – plus there’s some mystery about him. Although Ryan has been saying publicly that he wants to take a break from acting to relax, executives will be falling over themselves to woo him once the scripts are finalised,” the source added.
The Gosling broke our hearts when he said that he wanted to take a break from the big screen because he didn’t want people to get fed up of him.
“I’ve lost perspective on what I’m doing. I think it’s good for me to take a break and reassess why I’md oing it and how I’m doing it,” said Ryan.
“I need a break from myself as much as I imagine the audience does,” he added.
Reports circulating online state that Ryan is lined up to playthe part of Oscar Pistorius and Charlize Theron has been handpicked for the role of Reeva Steenkamp.
