If you are the youngest child in your family, you may know what it feels like to live under your older sibling’s shadow.
Why not take inspiration from these younger celebrity siblings who are starting to challenge their older brothers and sisters in the fame game.
1. Elle Fanning
Dakota Fanning shot to fame starring alongside the likes of Denzel Washington in Man on Fire and Robert De Niro in Hide and Seek. While she is still building a repertoire with roles in The Twilight Saga: New Moon and The Runaways, she is now being put under pressure from little sis Elle. With box office hits including The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and Super 8, the younger Fanning has hit the red carpet running and might we add has done so with real style. She’s one Elle of an actress and a fab fashionista!
2. Liam Hemsworth
Having started out with a minor role on Neighbours back in 2007, Liam Hemsworth has made huge strides in the film world, most notably landing a leading role in The Hunger Games. That along with his engagement to all-singing, all-dancing, all-acting Miley Cyrus has seriously put him on the Hollywood map this year. If we were big bro Chris we’d be seriously proud albeit a tad worried.
3. Elizabeth Olsen
As the younger sister of the Olsen twins Mary-Kate and Ashley it was always going to be difficult, if not impossible, for Elizabeth to follow in their footsteps. But she is certainly determined to stand on her own two feet with a leading role in horror movie Silent House and another handful of films in the pipeline. This is one younger sister not to be messed with!
4. Abigail Breslin
Like her brother Spencer Breslin, Abigail started out as a child star in films including cult hit Little Miss Sunshine. But she has managed to make the, not always easy, transition to young Hollywood actress. With films including My Sister’s Keeper, Zombieland and New Year’s Eve Abigail is firmly establishing herself as one to watch. We have a feeling she could also turn out to be quite the style icon too.
5. Dave Franco
Yes his older brother (James Franco just in case you didn’t know) is rather fit and has starred in huge hits including 127 Hours and Spiderman but we wouldn’t be so stupid as to completely overlook the younger of the Franco brothers. Dave Franco, believe it or not, is equally as dashing as James and is starting to pop up in some of our favourite films including Charlie St Cloud and 21 Jump Street.
6. Pippa Middleton
We’ll admit we’re a little conflicted about including the younger Middleton sister on this list considering she only stepped into the spotlight because of big sis Kate who we are huge fans of. But ever since she almost stole the spotlight at the Royal Wedding over a year ago, Pippa has been stealing hearts and headlines. From her pert bum to her party-planning book entitled Celebrate, which is due for release later in the year, everyone wants a piece of her and we can’t blame them.
