Sir Michael Parkinson sadly passed away following a brief illness.
Chat show host Sir Michael Parkinson has died at the age of 88.
The presenter died surrounded by his loving family.
They confirmed the legendary broadcaster died last night, August 16th.
Parkinson’s family confirmed the news, saying in a statement: “After a brief illness Sir Michael Parkinson passed away peacefully at home last night in the company of his family.
“The family request that they are given privacy and time to grieve.”
The broadcaster interviewed some of the biggest stars in the world on his long-running chat show, in a career spanning seven decades.
