Sir Elton John has revealed he would like to add to his family in the near future.
The sixty five year old and his partner David Furnish welcomed their first son on Christmas Day 2010 through surrogacy.
Sir Elton spoke out about his child, who the pair named Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John.
“He’s so happy. I’ve never seen a more contented child. And you have never seen two more contented people as David and I,” he said.
The Your Song singer/songwriter spoke of his desire to give Zachary a brother or sister.
“I’d love to have more children. I want to have a brother or a sister to go to school with him so that he can have someone to play with,” told NBC News.
Sir Elton also spoke about his drug abuse and how he wasted huge sections of his life battling the addiction.
“I wasted such a big part of my life… I was a drug addict and self-absorbed. You know, I was having people die right, left, and centre around me, friends. And yet, I didn’t stop the life that I had. I was consumed by cocaine, booze and who knows what else.”
He added: “When you take a drug and you take a drink and you mix those two together, you think you’re invincible. I came out of this HIV-negative. I was the luckiest man in the world.”
