Demi Lovato was reportedly hospitalised on Tuesday because she was having trouble breathing.
According to TMZ, the singer was brought to hospital to be treated for a lung infection after a friend reportedly brought her to the ER as she was having difficulty breathing.
The report states that doctors carried out a number of tests on the singer and gave her medication to combat the problem which they believe is flu-related.
Demi reportedly had to cancel studio time with a producer as a result of her illness.
