Maura has been called plenty of things since she entered the Love Island villa. She's been called inappropriate. She's been called too much. She's been called exactly what the show needs, what the show doesn't need, and the best thing to come out of Co Longford since Center Parcs. She's also been called Dr Alex in a wig and before you saying anything, yes: that is a compliment. For those of you who don't remember, Dr Alex George entered the Love Island villa last year and failed to find anybody who he wanted to spend at least six months with. He did, however, find love outside of the villa and is now in a stable and really rather lovely relationship. Good for him. Dr Alex was known for a lot of thing during his time in the villa. One of those things was the abundance of memes he created, the likes of which he has not stopped sharing on his social media since his departure. "Things didn’t go too well for me last year so I thought I would switch things up and have another go," he wrote on IG. "PS wig ambassador deets soon come." Excellent. Lots of other people clearly saw the family resemblance too and took it upon themselves to say so on Alex's post. Maura, dear, we'll never look at you the same way again.
