They may have split back in 2000, but Dane Bowers and Katie Price’s relationship has come back to haunt the pair, with both sides now spilling the details of their split.
During her current stint in the CBB house, Katie revealed to housemates that Dane Bowers was her first real-love, telling them she was left heartbroken by their split.
Dane Bowers has now revealed in a newspaper interview that the night he and the model split, she contacted him after attempting to take a drug overdose.
Taking a handful of pills hours after they split, Dane said she contacted him in a panic:
“Her speech was slurred and she told me she had done “something stupid” and taken an overdose. My heart dropped.”
Dane revealed how he rushed to her apartment and called paramedics, later visiting her in hospital to find her clutching a picture of them as a couple.
He also learned she had had an abortion too.
The former boyband star told the paper that jealousy had ripped the couple apart, with Katie accusing him of cheating while he insisted the glamour model quit posing in topless shots.
The couple, who dated from 1998-2000, met in a London nightclub at the height of his fame with Another Level.
Dane said he is amazed that Katie would drag up the relationship 15-years later, and has claimed she is ‘obsessed’ with him:
“I try to move on but she loves to drag it up by telling everyone on CBB about how I broke her heart 15 years ago. She has been married three times but to this day claims I’m the love of her life. It’s crazy.”
Katie is now married to her third husband, Kieran Hayler while Dane recently ended his engagement with former fiancée Sohia Cahill last month.
