She’s Growing Up Fast: Willow Smith Applies For A Fashion Column In Vogue

The 12-year-old's attention has moved on from singing... she now wants to be a fashionista.

Ever since we noticed her whipping her hair back and forth, we suspected Willow Smith was old beyond her years.

The kind of girl that’s 12 going on 32…

And now our suspicions have been confirmed as the 12-year-old has reportedly been “writing dozens of letters” to high fashion magazines to secure a column.

The daughter of actors Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith is committed to establishing a career in the fashion industry.

We’ll just mention again that she is, in fact, 12…

The highly ambitious preteen isn’t satisfied with just a music career and is creating a blog, hoping to write for a publication like Vogue.

“She’s been writing dozens of letters and applications and asking everyone she knows to pull strings for her,” a source told Star magazine.

The 12-year-old is certainly confident in her style…

Will and Jada are very supportive of Willow’s dreams.

However, her parents have said she has to finish and excel at school to live her dream.

“They told Willow they’ll hire a designer to build her a website-as long as she keeps on top of her school assignments,” the source said.

“She hates homework, and her parents always have to stay on her about it; she’s convinced that her future is in fashion.”

So, while other 12-year-olds hang out with their friends after school, Willow will be building on her website.

Jada said both herself and Will support their children’s creativity.

Jada has spoken previously about how she and husband of 14 years Will support their children’s creative expression.

“[We] instill the power of individuality,” she told People magazine recently.

“We communicate with our kids in a way that our message overpowers any other message that they get out there.”
