Nobody’s laughing now Rivers…
Fashion Police presenter Joan Rivers hit headlines a few weeks ago for mocking Adele.
She used an opportunity on David Letterman’s US television show to say she thought the singer was overweight and made a joke about Adele and eating fried chicken.
The majority of internet users were furious, others drew our attention to the fact that Rivers makes her money from taking the mickey out of the rich and famous.
But this time she may have taken it a step too far.
Adele has been at the end of Joan’s “joke-making” for a number of weeks now.
Despite the comedienne being slammed for her jibes at singer Adele, not to forget her damning tweet to the star during the Oscars in which she again called her fat, Joan has refused to apologise in an interview with Huffington Post, saying instead that she wanted to use the singer’s bottom for advertising space.
“It was funny, she’s a chubby lady who’s very, very rich.
“She should just calm down, or lose weight.
“And she wanted an apology, so I took an ad out on her a**.
“I said, ‘You are not fat’ and then I had room left for a lot of other ads. Let’s face reality, she’s fat.”
The 79-year-old continued: “Chicken is good because you can sell it to Adele, you’ll always have a market.”
If it all possible, Adele shouldn’t take this to heart, she’s not the first to be at the end of Joan’s insensitive quips. She has famously criticised Christina Aguilera and Oprah Winfrey over their figures before.
