Who doesn’t love a bit of mindless objectification of the male body on a cold Tuesday evening?
It’s safe to say that 2016 has been a year full of absolute garbage. Between numerous celebrity deaths, Brexit and of course Trump becoming the President-Elect, this year has truly knocked us all for six.

One thing guaranteed to perk up your Thursday is that the Sexiest Man Alive has been named and it’s a choice that hasn’t disappointed.
Yes indeed, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has been named People magazine’s ‘Sexiest Man Alive’.
Not a good enough feat to be the highest-paid actor in Hollywood at the moment, the 44-year-old former wrestler was crowned the sexiest man.
When told of his new title by People, the chivalrous gentleman said:
“‘That’s awesome.’ And then what went through my mind was just how cool and exciting it is…
“And then I thought, ‘Wow, we’ve pretty much reached the pinnacle.’ I’m not quite too sure where we go from here. I’ve done it all, this is it.”
People took to Twitter to congratulate the actor.
It's not every day I get to tell someone they're the #SexiestManAlive, but when I told @TheRock, I meant it. pic.twitter.com/ln0XkFsOpi

Disappointed I didn't get named the #SexiestManAlive this year, but I'm happy being second place to @TheRock. Maybe next year…

Rock is #SexiestManAlive
Is this where I'm supposed to whine about unrealistic standards? Because my reaction is HIT GYM AND GET AFTER IT

The Rock himself even tweeted his delight at cinching the title.
