Scarlett Johansson and her comedian boyfriend Colin Jost just got engaged

Happy news for Avengers star Scarlett Johansson today - she's engaged!

Scarlett said yes to her boyfriend of two years, comedian Colin Jost. Colin, 36, is best known as a writer and performer on US sketch show Saturday Night Live. A rep for Scarlett, 34, confirmed the news to the Associated Press. They couple have not set a wedding date, he said. This will be Scarlett's third time down the aisle. She wed Ryan Reynolds in September 2008. Their marriage ended in December 2010. She was also married to French journalist Romain Mauriac between 2014 and 2017. The couple have a daughter together, four-year-old Rose. It will be Colin's first marriage. He and Scarlett were first linked to one another as a couple in May of 2017 after she appeared on SNL. They stepped out together for the first time at the American Museum of Natural History Museum Gala in December 2017. They have embraced the spotlight more and more over time, with Colin often accompanying her on red carpets. Despite this, Scarlett and Colin have kept their relationship quite private, rarely speaking out about one another. Colin did have this to say about her before he hosted the Emmys in 2017; "She's pretty cool...it's hard to have a lot of complaints, she's pretty awesome." There had been speculation about the pari's future recently, with a source telling People that they were considering marriage.
