Sarah Drew has revealed she went into premature labour hours after filming her Grey's Anatomy character giving birth. The actress, who played Dr. April Kepner for nine seasons, told PEOPLE how she went into labour with her daughter Hannah hours after filming the season 11 scenes, which saw April give birth to her son, Samuel, before he died in her arms a few moments later. “That one episode was called ‘All I Could Do Was Cry,’ ” she said. “That episode, the one where April delivered the baby and the baby died – Samuel died in her arms – I was pregnant with my daughter, Hannah, and I actually went into premature labour 10 hours after shooting that scene.

"She was born a month early and was in the NICU for two weeks."
