I don’t see anything ever breaking these two up!
Last week, it was confirmed that Love Island alum, Zara McDermott, would be taking to the dance floor for the BBC show, Strictly Come Dancing.
For years, the show is said to have a ‘curse’ that taking part in Strictly – whether as a celebrity or a professional dancer – will endanger the status of the relationship you’re in when you sign up.
Since it was announced that the 26-year-old would be joining the line-up of celebrities, it has been reported that long-time love, Sam Thompson, is ‘dreading’ her stint on the dance show.
OK! Magazine have reported that Sam is feeling rather apprehensive about this alleged curse, with a source telling the magazine, “Sam is massively dreading history repeating itself and the Strictly curse is definitely playing on his mind. She is getting hotter by the minute and she’s likely to be a huge favourite.”
Back in 2019, Sam spilt with the BBC Three film documentary maker after she admitted she was unfaithful to him when she appeared on X Factor: Celebrity.
Following the affair, she made it her mission to win the former Made in Chelsea star back, and on numerous occasions took to social media to express her regret and remorse for her actions.
It worked, and the two rekindled and have moved in together since.
Now, however, it seems Sam may have deep-rooted fears about Zara appearing on the reality competition show.
Look, it’s a very reasonable worry but since they have reunited, the couple look stronger than ever.
The pair are known for their comedic videos online and often take the opportunity to appreciate each other and support each other’s work on Instagram.

Taking to the platform to congratulate his girlfriend’s news, Sam wrote: “Go on Goose! The news is out! So damn excited for this journey.”
“I’ll be coming down [each week] with a placard. Pete [Wicks], me, you, the whole squad. We’re so proud of you,” he penned.
It has not yet been revealed who Zara’s dance partner will be for her duration on the show.
The potential partners she could be paired with include Graziano Di Prima, Gorka Marquez, Neil Jones, Nikita Kuzmin, Johannes Radebe, Kai Widdrington, Carlos Gu, Vito Coppola, or Giovanni Pernice.
She joins the Strictly Class of 2023 alongside Bobby Brazier, Adam Thomas, Nigel Harman, Annabel Croft, Ellie Leach, Jody Cundy, Nikita Kanda, Krishnan Guru-Murthy, Angela Scanlon, Eddie Kadi, Amanda Abbington, Layton Williams, Angela Rippon, and Les Dennis.
Zara made Strictly history when it was announced that she would be the first-ever Love Island personality to grace the dance show.
Personally, I don’t think any Strictly curse could tear these two apart.
Who else is excited to see Zara put on her dancing shoes?
