Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan ended their relationship in December 2024
Sabrina Carpenter has opened up about the end of her and Barry Keoghan’s relationship.
The couple called it quits in December 2024, but have remained tight-lipped following their break-up.
Many sources came forward after the famous pair’s break-up, with some claiming Keoghan’s partying lifestyle was the catalyst for their split.
Others stated that the couple broke up because they wanted to focus on their careers.
Carpenter didn’t give away too much about her relationship with the Irish actor, but she did tell Rolling Stone that she is single again.
“Am I doing the single thing right now? I’m doing the 25-year-old thing right now, whatever that means,” she hinted.
The Manchild singer said there has been a lot of speculation online about her relationships, but nobody has the full story.
“You’re like, ‘That didn’t happen then. That did happen then. You’re missing a few key details there.”
“People underestimate how tricky it is to navigate being a young woman, having relationships, and then having a bunch of strangers have opinions on them,” she stressed.
The Taste singer added, “Surely, all of these people that are commenting, if they had the same microscope on their personal lives, I don’t think they’d be as eloquently spoken as me.
“I know it’s a tale as old as time. It’s just unfortunate that it’s still a tale,” she concluded.
Her comments come after the singer announced her next album, Man’s Best Friend. The album is set for release on August 29th, 2025.
