Sabrina Carpenter performed two sold-out shows at Dublin’s 3Arena

Sabrina Carpenter kicked off the European leg of her Short n’ Sweet tour in Dublin this week.

The Espresso singer took to the stage in Dublin’s 3Arena on Monday and Tuesday night.

Fans were eager to see if Carpenter would mention her ex-boyfriend Barry Keoghan at this hometown shows, and she didn’t disappoint.

In truer words never spoken, Carpenter said: “Irish boys are hard work.”

During the opening of the show, the Taste singer made a witty dig at the Irish actor.

She said: “Dublin, it’s so lovely to be here. You all look and sound amazing, but my goodness, these Irish boys are hard work.”

The Grammy winner reportedly started dating Barry Keoghan in late 2023, but they didn’t make their first public appearance until the Vanity Fair Oscars Party in March 2024.

The couple ended their relationship in December after cheating rumors started to circulate.

An insider told People that the pair ended things to focus on their careers.

“They are both young and career-focused, so they’ve decided to take a break,” the source said.

Sabrina Carpenter praised her Irish fans following her two sold-out shows in Dublin.

The singer thanked her Irish fans for their support and for coming out in their thousands to attend the Short n’ Sweet tour.

Writing on Instagram, the 15 Minutes singer shared: “Ireland!!!! No better way to kick off this leg than 2 sold-out nights in Dublin.

“You couldn’t have been sweeter,” she added.
