“Everybody’s doing great.”
Ryan Reynolds has finally spoken out about welcoming his fourth child, after it emerged that his wife Blake Lively gave birth recently.
Ryan and Blake are already parents to three daughters – James (8), Inez (6) and Betty (3) – though the parents have not shared the sex or name of their latest addition.
On an episode of CNBC’s Power Lunch, Ryan joined virtually from his kitchen.
“To be honest, I’ll probably spend the rest of my life here,” he joked.
The actor then said that he is “very excited” about the family’s new arrival.
“Look, we wouldn’t do it four times if we didn’t love it,” he said. “Everybody’s doing great. Everybody’s actually doing fantastic.
“If we haven’t figured it out by now, I think we’d be in deep, deep trouble.”
Blake and Ryan didn’t opt for a formal baby announcement, instead they shared the news in the most low-key way possible. Blake posted a photo on her Instagram over the weekend in which she no longer has a baby bump.
In her caption, she penned: “”Puppy Bowl Sunday 2023, been busy.”
Lively confirmed she was pregnant with her fourth child last September.
During her pregnancy, the mum called out the paparazzi who had been stalking her.
“Here are photos of me pregnant in real life so the 11 guys waiting outside my home for a sighting will leave me alone.
“You freak me and my kids out. Thanks to everyone else for all the love and respect and for continuing to unfollow accounts and publications that share photos of children.
“You have all the power against them. And thank you to the media who have a ‘No Kids Policy’. You all make all the difference.”
