There will certainly be a few shocks at this summer’s Olympic Games in London but nobody could have foreseen the one concerning the line-up for the closing ceremony.
It was revealed over the weekend that none other than Russell Brand will be performing at the closing ceremony and no he won’t be telling the jokes.
The controversial comic is said to be singing two songs one of which is ‘I Am The Walrus’ by the Beatles and the other is a Sex Pistols hit.
Russell Brand is one of the many people who will be singing at the ceremony.
It is a decision that has shocked fans considering Brand’s history with drugs and the fact that nobody knows if he can actually hold a tune.
Then again that might not be the aim of organisers as the Rock of Ages star will be joined on stage by comedy pair Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders which could explain the odd choice.
The comedy duo are said to be joining Brand for a duet.
Jessie J, One Direction and Ed Sheeran are just a few of the other musical talents that will be on display. Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell will also appear onstage for the ceremony.
