The Voice of Ireland is on the way back – and so are the judges.
Rachel Stevens, Kian Egan and Bressie have finally been confirmed to join Una Foden on the Red Chairs for another season of the hit reality TV series.
The announcement comes in the wake of much speculation regarding the lineup, following the RTÉ new season launch earlier this month.
Una Foden was the only judge to appear at the launch, explaining to reporters on the day that she would indeed be returning to the panel, but adding that she was “in the dark” about the other roles.
Now, it has been confirmed that all four judges from last year’s lineup will be back on our screens and budding performers are being urged to submit their auditions.
To face the judges for season five and be in with a chance of winning a record deal with Universal Ireland, singers are invited to apply online to www.rte.ie/thevoice.
Season four was Una Foden’s first year on The Voice of Ireland and proved to be quite successful, with Team Una producing 2015’s winner, Patrick James.
Rachel was also a new addition to the panel and brought two acts to the final. She said: “It’s great to be back on the show again this year with the other coaches. I really enjoyed being in Ireland and had a lot of fun last season, topped off by taking two of my team to the final! It’s not long now until the Blind Auditions and I can start building Team Rachel 2016. l was made to feel really welcome last year and can’t thank everyone enough for their support. I’m looking forward to coming back and to spending time with my extended Irish ‘family’.”
The search for The Voice of Ireland will begin in mid-October when filming of the Blind Auditions commences followed by the Battles in November, although viewers will have to wait until early January to catch the talent on RTÉ as the show will air from early January 2016
