What does the future hold for Romeo Beckham?

As the son of two of the world’s most famous name, you would expect him to be the focus of attention for both his parents’ fans. Romeo Beckham, the son of former England footballer David and Spice Girl Victoria has decided to follow in his parents’ footsteps and take up modelling. He recently did a fashion shoot for Burberry, a move which was just a little bit controversial.

Although he’s just 10 years old, it seems that the oldest of the Beckham kids is likely to have a bright future ahead of him. However, despite the fact that he has followed in his mum’s footsteps by modelling for one of the biggest names in fashion, one glamour magazine have refused to write about him because of his tender age.

The magazine in question didn’t want to write about him as he’s under 16, which hasn’t gone down too well with some. One of the models who posed with him for Burberry said that they published a feature with a 15-year-old actress, accusing them of hypocrisy. Despite that, Romeo has already begun to make a name for himself thanks in no small part to his famous name.

Actor or model?

A lot of people are guessing what Romeo might do as a full-time job once he reaches adulthood. Although he still has a long way to go before he reaches that milestone, bookmakers such as Ladbrokes have speculated on what the future may or may not hold for him.

The odds suggest that he could continue his fledgling career as a model, with odds of just 1/4 that he will appear on the catwalk at a major fashion show before he turns 21. They also believe that he’s just 1/10 to design his own fashion range before his 21st birthday, and that he’s a 1/5 shot to have his own fragrance before that milestone too.

Two less likely outcomes that appear as bets are for Romeo to win the coveted GQ Most Stylish award before 21 at evens, while 10/1 is the price quoted for him to win TIME Magazine’s Man of the Year prize. Neither outcome looks likely at the moment, but he has time on his side.

50/1 is the price being offered for Romeo to win an Oscar before the age of 21, which sounds even less realistic, but you can never be too sure what opportunities may arise for him on the back of his first photo shoot.

Although his childhood won’t be like that of a normal 10-year-old, he should enjoy being in the spotlight, as he might get a good career out of it.
