This would bring a tear to a glass eye.
In the last few days, hundreds if not thousands of Irish people have travelled long distances to be reunited with their families at home to help make the festive season that extra bit special.
It’s all the better if the reunion comes as a surprise to family members at home, as it did to Robert and Hudson Keane, the sons of Robbie and Claudine Keane, when Ireland’s all-time record goalscorer arrived back home in Dublin on Christmas Eve

Fresh from scoring his first goal for his new club ATK against Delhi Dynamos at the weekend (and throwing in a classic celebration with a twist inspired by his old mucker Damien Duff to boot), Robbie posted a video on Instagram of him being greeted by his two boys on his return home a little earlier today.
If this doesn’t bring a smile to your face we don’t know what will; this is what Christmas is all about.

Wishing his followers a happy holidays – and admitting the surprise almost didn’t happen – he captioned the video:
“That was the best feeling surprising my boys on Christmas Eve. We weren’t sure I’d make it home on time.
“Merry Christmas everyone, I hope it’s filled with Love & Laughter.”
