Rihanna may have to learn to think before she tweets after sparking a fan riot in the French capital this weekend.
The singer could have lost a few French fans after calling the crowds awaiting her arrival in a Paris train station “insane”.
She tweeted, “The French are f*ckin [sic] insane!” after being swamped by hundreds of screaming young fans at the capital’s Eurostar station on Saturday night.
But what was she to expect after tweeting her train and arrival time on Twitter? Bearing in mind the popstar has approximately 25 million followers, she’s lucky she wasn’t surrounded by more “papz and crazies”…
Rihanna tweets the arrival time of her Paris train on Twitter.
“I just had to fight my way out of a damn train station!!! SMH” she wrote as part of a series of messages on the microblogging website. For the urban slang novices, ‘SMH’ means ‘shake my head’. Don’t worry, we googled it too.
“Y’all are outta control with this shit in Paris!!!” Rihanna tweeted soon after. We think it’s just a small bit offensive to the hundreds of admirers who turned up to welcome the star to their city.
The angry singer also tweeted; “FYI, if you push me, you WILL get pushed the phuck back! Papz and crazies included!!!”
What we’re wondering is how Rihanna was able to document her surroundings in such detail if she was at the centre of a riot.
Rihanna slammed the French in a series of offensive tweets.
A Gare du Nord security chief was obviously offended by the series of tweets and said; “It was absolute chaos, and all Rihanna’s fault. We are well used to dealing with celebrities here but what Rihanna did was utterly irresponsible.”
But his harsh words didn’t turn the star off her tweeting habit as she soon tweeted a photo of herself afterwards, captioning it, “You’re boring me”.
“You’re boring me”… who, Rihanna?
The star left the French capital in a change of mood, complimenting the “top notch” city.
