The line-up for the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special has been confirmed and we’re more than a little excited.
Six former contestants who proved popular during their time on Strictly will return to the dancefloor for one night only.
Olympic gymnast Louis Smith, who won in 2012, will return to the dancefloor alongside singer Sophie Ellis Bextor, who made it to the final in 2013.

Fans of the show are sure to remember Chris Hollings who won in 2009 and S Club 7 star Rachel Stevens who came second in 2008, both of whom are returning for the Christmas special.

Also included in this year’s line-up is former Emmerdale actress Lisa Riley who danced in Strictly 2012 and of course, Russell Grant who was a firm favourite in the 2011 series.

Lisa Riley will take to the dancefloor alongside her original dance partner Robin Windsor and this is one reunion we can’t wait to see.

Not only will we see familiar faces dancing on stage, there will be a familiar host too as Bruce Forstyth returns to host the Christmas special, together with Tess Daly.
This year’s special is thought to have a pantomime theme and judges Len Goodman, Bruno Tonoli, Darcy Bussell and Craig Revel Horwood will join in the festive fun.
Yet another reason to look forward to Christmas Day!
