Family members of Whitney’s daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown are said to be demanding thousands of dollars in payment for interviews on her condition.
The 21-year-old is currently in a medically induced coma at an Atlanta hospital after being found face-down in a bathtub at the end of January.
While it had been claimed that the family had decided to turn off Bobbi’s life support, she is still being treated by doctors in the US while close family including father Bobby Brown and grandmother Cissy Houston visit her bedside.
US Weekly is now reporting that several of Bobbi’s extended family members have been seeking large sums of money and perks including hotel stays and car service in return for interviews on her condition, with the family’s lawyer urging media outlets to ignore these requests.
“At this time, it is requested that the media cease speaking with unauthorized members of the family. The integrity of the events that led to the hospitalization of Bobbi Kristina must remain uncompromised.
“Various members of the family have provided media interviews, however, none of them are approved visitors to see Bobbi Kristina. None of them have firsthand knowledge of Bobbi Kristina’s treatment and the medical staff at Emory University Hospital has not communicated with them.”
