Walsh responded to Humphries' statement on BBC's It Takes Two last night.
He apologised for his actions but argued that he is "not the person I'm being portrayed as."
Speaking to Zoe Ball, he said:
"I made a mistake, which I'm very sorry for - sorry for the hurt that I've caused.
"You never think about the extent of the damage that you're going to do, in a moment of, you know the mistake that you've made."
Humphries has since given her own response to the interview - in the form of some 'liked' tweets.
The actor took to Twitter following the segment to 'like' a selection of messages claiming that Walsh was only appearing on television to garner sympathy from the public.
The tweets Humphries 'liked' included one urging Walsh to quit the reality show and another stating that he didn't mention Humphries at all in his apology.

In her statement on Tuesday, Humphries said that despite what had happened, she is "not a victim."
She said:
"It's incredibly good of Sean(n) and Katya to apologise in the media. "I have received nothing, other than the support of my family, friends, and strangers on the internet who all wanted to make sure that I was OK."Her powerful words were praised online by many including Stacey Solomon and Carol Vorderman. She was also supported by Scottish domestic abuse charity, Women's Aid.
