This is the reason why you haven’t heard a word out of Thomas Markle in months

It's been a while.

Thomas Markle caused quite a lot of drama this time last year. In the months leading up to his daughter's wedding to Prince Harry, he got in as many paparazzi photos as possible and also spoke to whatever interviewer would listen to him. It clearly caused quite a lot of pain for Meghan, especially when he ended up having a heart attack in the days leading up to her wedding and wasn't able to attend or walk her up the aisle. He even piped up quite a bit after the wedding, but in recent months we haven't heard a peep out of him. Well, according to royal expert Katie Nicholl, he's been keeping quiet in the hopes that he can reunite with his daughter and her new family. She told Cosmo: "It's a correct observation, we haven't seen an interview from Thomas Markle, we haven't heard a word from him, which—given his tendency to speak to the press—is unusual. I'm sure it's been very welcomed at Kensington Palace." Kate also mentioned that Meghan was willing to give him a second chance if he stopped going to the press. "She was prepared to give him a second chance. So yes, one wonders if perhaps he has learned the error of his ways and realized that if he wants any relationship with his daughter and his grandchild, he's going to have to prove that he can keep his mouth shut."
