She’s had a tough couple of years fighting bankruptcy, her drug-dealer ex-husband and her own addictions but it looks like Kerry Katona has finally found happiness with former rugby player George Kay.
The couple who have been together for just two-and-a-half months, are said to be bestotted with each other and George reportedly has bought an engagement ring which he hopes to propose to Kerry with next week in Dubai.
A source has told The Mirror “George told Kerry he’s ready to pop the question. Kerry’s been on tenterhooks for the past month. She was certain he was going to do it this week after Atomic Kitten’s gig in London. But they fly to Dubai next week and George will propose there. She will be thrilled.”
Kerry and her new man George look very happy together…
33-year-old George, who was released from jail in 2001 after serving time for blackmail, has also reportedly asked Kerry’s mum Sue for her blessing. The source also revealed, “George has splashed out on a platinum diamond ring which cost him £5,500. He asked Sue for Kerry’s hand in marriage and she’s said yes.
“Sue did have her reservations that things were moving too fast but she’s never seen Kerry so happy. Kerry’s certain this marriage will last forever.”
Mum-of-four Kerry is convinced that George is “the one” and the couple even have matching tattoos of each other’s initials on their necks.
But, while she’d love to have a lavish wedding, the broke Atomic Kitten singer will need to bag a hefty magazine deal to foot the bill.
Let’s hope this time, it’s third times a charm…
