Afroman was arrested by police on Tuesday after punching a female fan during a concert.
The rapper, who is famous for singing Because I Got High, was performing at a venue in Mississippi when a member of the audience walked up on stage.
In footage acquired by TMZ the woman can be seen dancing near Afroman. He then turns around and strikes her in the head.
She falls to the ground. While he returns to his set, she can be seen getting up slowly and making her way off the stage.

Security are said to have helped the victim while police arrested Afroman. The website reports that he was booked for assault and then released after paying a $330 bond.
A representative for the music star told Billboard: “This was a completely involuntary reflex action to people infringing on his stage space.
“It was uncharacteristic behaviour that was initiated by outside uncontrolled forces.” They also said that there was a lack of security at the venue.
