Twins' health scare left Rachel Gorry feeling 'triggered' and in tears

Rachel and her partner Adrien shared that they were left upset and 'triggered' after their latest health check.

And understandably so, as Rachel lost her husband, and father to her three girls, Daniel, to oesophageal cancer in 2020.

The entire situation fuelled Rachel's PTSD and opened up old wounds from when she was losing Daniel.

The Irish social media star took to Instagram, assuring her followers that ‘everything is absolutely fine’ and explained that her short hiatus from social media was just them taking time to process the situation.

Rachel, who is expecting a baby boy and a girl, said: "Had a scare yesterday at my appointment when they couldn’t find baby boy's heartbeat, we automatically thought the worst, but thank god they found it and he’s doing great."

She went on to say: "This is obviously very triggering for anyone, and with everything we went through with losing Daniel and my PTSD, this really triggered me and the tears have been flowing since."

Emphasising how ‘beyond grateful’ she and Adrien are that ‘both babies are healthy and doing well’, Rachel concluded:

"I just wanted to take some time out and to be honest, I didn’t think anyone would notice, but the flood of messages this morning and seeing how worried you were, I thought I’ll let you know everything is absolutely fine and thank you all so much again, lots of love."
