The Queen ‘intervened’ in Kate and Meghan’s ongoing feud yesterday

Anyone who saw the photos of Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle heading to church yesterday would struggle to believe that the two women have fallen out - and that's the point.

The royals attended a Christmas Day service at St Mary's Magdalene in Norfolk and made for picture-perfect in-laws walking in alongside each other dressed in their festive best. The photo op was a chance for the two duchesses to try and put rumours of a rift between them to bed and they certainly put on a super-friendly display as they walked side-by-side. It turns out that the two were reportedly ordered to make up and walk alongside one another by the head of the family. The Queen wanted them to end their supposed feud before they celebrated the day at her Sandringham estate, according to The Sun. "The Queen and Charles have allowed the situation to play out without overtly interfering — but they both made it clear that Christmas was for the whole family to really come together," an insider said. “That meant the two couples walking into church together as the Fab Four just like they had last year. "Yes, it was awkward and uncomfortable given what's gone on over the past 12 months. “But the alternative of even more negativity on Christmas Day wasn’t worth thinking about.”
