Actress Catherine Zeta-Jones and husband Michael Douglas have denied reports that the couple are going through a “hush hush trial separation”.
It had been alleged that the couple, who have been together for 12 years, are currently separated, and that Douglas has moved out of the house he shares with Zeta-Jones and their two children.
It was also claimed that the marriage has “buckled under the pressure of dealing with Michael’s cancer battle, his son Cameron’s prison term on drugs charges and Catherine’s struggle with bipolar II disorder”.
The couple were rumoured to have renewed their vows last year in Bermuda with their nearest and dearest.
The couple have been together for twelve years.
“It’s because of [their children] Dylan and Carys that Michael and Catherine aren’t giving up on each other. Only time will tell if they can make things work,” a source told the National Enquirer.
However, Douglas’s spokesman Allen Bury said: “They have not split. The story is not true.”
Cece Yorke, representative for Zeta-Jones, added separately: “That is absolutely not true.”
Looks like Zeta-Jones and Douglas could be proving the cynics wrong…
