Prince Harry rang ex Chelsy Davy before his wedding for an ’emotional’ parting call

Prince Harry rang ex-girlfriend Chelsy Davy just days before his wedding.

The prince is said to have called Davy in the lead up to the big day to acknowledge that he was "moving on." Harry and Chelsy had an on-and-off again relationship after they met when Harry was in South Africa on his gap year. After they split, Chelsy said that she had felt uncomfortable with the attention that came with dating a member of the royal family. Vanity Fair reports that Harry gave Chelsy a ring in the lead up to the wedding and that she found the call "emotional." A source told the publication:

"It was their final call, a parting call in which they both acknowledged Harry was moving on. "Chelsy was quite emotional about it all, she was in tears and almost didn’t go to the wedding. In the end, she went and promised Harry she wouldn’t try and gatecrash the party."

  Chelsy and another of Harry's exes, Cressida Bonas, were both invited to the royal wedding. They attended the ceremony in Windsor Castle but did not go to the afters at Frogmore House. Harry and Chelsy dated on-and-off again between 2004 and 2011. The 32-year-old has attended many royal events including Prince Charles's birthday.
