Police in the UK have confirmed that a post mortem examination to determine the circumstances surrounding the death of Peaches Geldof will be carried out “in the next few days”.
The presenter and model was found dead at her home in Kent yesterday afternoon but no further details on her tragic death have yet been released
In a statement, a spokesperson for Kent police said that the death was “non-suspicious, but an unexplained sudden death” but confirmed that a cause of death would be determined in the coming days.
“Officers are working to establish the circumstances and will be compiling a report of their findings for the coroner. It is expected that a post-mortem examination will be carried out in the next few days.”
Several media outlets are reporting that “no hard drugs or a suicide note” were found at the scene and police are now investigating the theory that her death was caused by natural causes.
Meanwhile, television commentator Katie Hopkins has come under fire after refusing to acknowledge Peaches’ death on Twitter.
The pair were embroiled in an infamous debate on This Morning last November, with Peaches widely regarded as winning the argument with her views on attachment parenting. Following the show, the row carried on with Hopkins saying that Peaches had enjoyed an “easy ride” on the show as she had only agreed to come on if Katie “shut up and let her talk”. The mother-of-two hit back on Twitter, disputing the claims and branding her a “rent a gob”.
While there was no love lost between the two, it had been expected that Hopkins would acknowledge the tragic incident but despite several tweets today, she had yet to express her condolences.
Good morning followers & detractors – how are we today? Maria Miller is STILL on the run. When I say run, I mean walking around The Commons

The move has drawn vitriol from followers on the social network, with many accusing the controversial figure of being insensitive under the circumstances.
@KTHopkins I would really love to see something of a statement showing some sympathy for Peaches

So after everything that happened yesterday @KTHopkins first tweet of the day doesn’t even acknowledge the tragedy – shocking! #PeachesRIP
