In September 2013 The Sun newspaper decided they would go where no male underwear advertising has gone before and asked ‘real men’ to pose in their smaller garments.
Much like skincare range Dove does to champion ’real women’ over female models, the newspaper asked four ‘normal men’ to recreate famous underwear images.
The originals, which we can only assume were digitally edited like most billboard picture are, was placed alongside ‘real men’ in the same pose.
The result makes for fantastic viewing, so much so that the images have resurfaced online thanks to Reddit.
The images not only brought attention to the fact that the opposite sex are victims of Photoshop as much as females are but also highlighted just how much pressure men are under to maintain a perfect body.
Hat-tip to The Huffington Post for this one.
