Ok, we admit it. We’re in love with Steve Carell.
Not only is he a brilliant actor, he’s hilarious, sweet and now he’s openly supporting the #HeForShe gender equality campaign launched by Emma Watson in the UN last year.
On a night where all the top stars were being watched like hawks for every fashion and style detail, Steve decided to lend his support by sporting the #HeForShe cufflinks as part of his Oscars ensemble.
Carell was nominated in the Best Actor category of this year’s Oscars for his part in Foxcatcher, and although me might have missed out on the gong, he was a winner for Emma Watson.
Taking to her Twitter account on Sunday evening, Emma posted a penned open letter to the actor, thanking him for his support:

And because he’s an absolute legend, Steve responded with one simple tweet:
Thanks @EmWatson. An honor to support #HeForShe and gender equality.
