PIC: Majella O’Donnell Posts Poignant #NoMakeUpSelfie For Irish Cancer Society

Majella O’Donnell has joined in the recent social media campaign to raise money for the Irish Cancer Society. Majella, wife of Daniel O’Donnell, was welcomed to the social media giant, Twitter, on Friday and earlier today shared this brave and poignant bare-faced snap with followers. The Tipperary native was diagnosed with cancer last July and underwent a lumpectomy and chemotherapy before having double mastectomy surgery with reconstruction last month. She captured the hearts of the nation after courageously deciding to shave her hair off live on the Late Late Show last year and has since raised over €600,000 for the Irish Cancer Society.

In a statement on Daniel’s website, Majella thanked the public for their support during her ordeal. “What I want to tell you all at this stage is how very grateful I am to every one of you for everything you have done for me over the last few months.
