“Well, if I’m still getting away with it, I’ll be a happy man.”
Phillip Schofield joked about “getting away with” everything when asked by his former lover and ITV colleague where he saw himself in the future.
In a video that has resurfaced, Schofield and his former lover are seen laughing and joking about Phillip’s long career on This Morning.
The younger man Phillip was involved with was working as a production assistant at the time.
The Daily Mail has reported that in the video, Schofield said he “can’t find a way out” of presenting the early morning show.
Later in the video, the host’s ex-lover wonders what they’ll both be doing in three years time to which Phillip said: “Well, if I’m still getting away with it, I’ll be a happy man.”
The man who has not been named was then seen sitting beside Holly and Phillip on the This Morning couch asking Holly what she thinks of his presenting skills.
Holly replied: “Well that was very good, actually. Tell you what, don’t get too comfy sitting on this sofa. If Phil spots you after that, there’ll be trouble.”
The production assistant then said: “There you go, watch out Scofe”.
Phillip then joined in and said: “Oi, you b*****d!”

There has been a lot of drama online since Phillip Schofield resigned as host of This Morning.
Former presenter, Eamon Holmes has been very vocal on where he stands with Philip and Holly and said they deserve “best actor” nominations at the BAFTAs.
However, most recent to comment on the situation is former This Morning star, Dr. Ranj. He released a statement criticising the show’s “toxic” culture.
Dr Ranj worked as the show’s resident doctor and said he was concerned about bullying and discrimination on the show.
He said he felt like he was “managed out” for whistleblowing.
This morning, Phillip took to social media to hit out at those who have a “grudge” against him.
He said those who have a grudge are the loudest voices criticising him and the show.
He said: “Now I no longer work on This Morning I am free to say this.
“I hope you have noticed that it’s the same handful of people with a grudge against me or the show who seem to have the loudest voice.
“This Morning is the best show to work on, with the best people.”
He continued: “In all the years I worked there there was no toxicity. You can listen to those persistently loud voices if you like.
“But the thousands of guests over the years, thousands of staff and crew, hundreds of presenters and contributors all know, it is a family of wonderful, talented, kind, hard-working people.”
