Popular TV presenter Philip Schofield was rather red-faced recently when he was told he left holding the tab for a wedding that he didn’t even know about.
According to the presenter, he found out about the unusual situation when he received a phone call asking him to settle a bill.
“It actually happened to me that I got a phone call one morning… ‘Hello, Mr. Schofield. I’m so sorry to bother you at work. We just wondered whether or not you were about ready now to pay for the venue and the flowers and the caterers?’ and I said, ‘I’m so sorry, I don’t understand’ … and a fan… had booked our entire wedding. The whole thing. And then left me with the bloody bill,” he revealed to Jonathan Ross.
He also went on to talk about his fears that he will end up cursing during his 24 hour text Santa charity campaign.
“For 24 hours, there is no question that I am worried about swearing. I don’t swear a lot but I do swear and 24 hours is a very good way of forgetting that you’re on the telly.“
