Taylor Swift has been romantically linked to an American actor and people are raging

As many doubted the authenticity of 'Hiddleswift', reports of Tom and Taylor splitting didn't surprise people.

While the split was initiated by Taylor, it was Tom who wanted as much publicity as possible, trying to further his career perhaps? A source told US Weekly why the pair went their separate ways after three months.

"She [Taylor] was the one to put the brakes on the relationship. "Tom wanted the relationship to be more public than she was comfortable with. Taylor knew the backlash that comes with public displays of affection but Tom didn't listen to her concerns when she brought them up."

Following the split, Taylor has been linked to long-time friend and Baywatch actor Zac Efron. According to Hollywood Life, the actor has already been thinking about swooping in and making Taylor his girl. A source told the magazine that Zac is ready to get to know Taylor better, even calling her 'sexy'.

"He has been letting his friends know that he is down to see what Taylor is all about. He likes her music and thinks she is sexy so he is telling friends he is curious what it would be like to have Taylor Swift as a girlfriend."

People on Twitter didn't hold back with their rage at the pair being linked.
