We imagine Bob Geldof is feeling a little sorry for himself this morning. Why? Well his daughter, Peaches, has pretty much banned him from singing at her wedding. Way harsh, huh?
The Irish Daily Mail reports that 23 year old Peaches has said that there will be no room for the Boomtown Rats at her wedding reception when she ties the knot with Thomas Cohen later this year.
“I think he’d probably like to play at the wedding, to be honest. But I think it would put a weird Freudian spin on the event,” said Peaches.
So instead of letting her old man croon out a few songs, Peaches has hired a DJ and given him a pre-approved playlist of songs that she has deemed suitable for her big day. So we guess that Bob’s “I Don’t Like Mondays” isn’t included on that list then, right?
Peaches will tie the knot later this year.
At the minute, new mother Peaches is less concerned with her dad wrestling the microphone from the DJ and more obsessed with her wedding dresses. Yes, you read that right. Peaches is having not one, but two wedding dresses designed for the day.
“I’m not going to give away too much but I had my dress fitting recently, along with my bridesmaids and their dresses, and it was sheer perfection,” she wrote in her blog.
“I have another fitting coming up soon as I’m going to have a change at the wedding,” she added.
This isn’t the first time that Peaches has headed up the aisle. In 2009 she had a whirlwind marriage to Max Drummey, but it didn’t last long. The marriage ended in divorce a mere six months later.
