Paul Mescal was spotted over the weekend on a coffee date with none other than Angelina Jolie amid his split from fiance Phoebe Bridgers. The Daily Mail published photos of the Maynooth native hanging out in a coffee shop with the Hollywood A-Lister, as well as her 16-year-old daughter Shiloh. They then reported that Angelina and Shiloh had seen Paul perform in A Streetcar Named Desired at the Almeida Theatre in London and later met up with him in the cafe in the theatre for a catch-up. The cafe appeared to be pretty empty other than the trio sitting there, but to be a fly on the wall for that chat would be our dream and more. The news comes after the Normal People star is rumoured to have split from his fiance of two years, singer Phoebe Bridgers. Earlier last month, sources claimed Irish actor Mescal called off the engagement. Many fans believed he and Bridgers had an open relationship, but an insider shut the rumours down. A source told DeuxMoi: “Can confirm the engagement is off between Paul Mescal and Phoebe Bridgers. It’s not an open relationship in the slightest. Paul found out about Phoebe and Bo and called off the engagement,” The Aftersun star started dating the singer in August 2020. The pair confirmed their relationship in late 2021 when they made their red carpet-debut. Mescal responded to engagement rumours earlier this year. In November, The Guardian confirmed the actor was engaged to Bridgers after interviewing him.
