Irish Grey’s Anatomy fans will be thrilled.
Patrick Dempsey has revealed that he thoroughly enjoyed his time in Ireland and “fell in love with the place.”
The actor sat down with his Grey’s Anatomy co-star Ellen Pompeo in her podcast, Tell Me, to discuss what he’d been up to this year, including his time filming for Disenchanted in Ireland.
When asked what Ireland was like, Patrick immediately responded:
“Oh, I fell in love with the place. I was everywhere, any chance I got. I ended up staying in the north of Ireland, which was fascinating, I learned a lot up there.
“And then I was in nature, so it was the Spring of the year, and you have all the lambs, cows, and the calves and everything. Its everything you could imagine it to be. People are great.”

Filming for the highly-anticipated Disney movie took place in Eniskerry, Co. Wicklow earlier this year, with fans coming from all over to catch a glimpse of the magical set and star-studded cast. Patrick took the opportunity to explore the country, but says he was let down by one thing.
‘The only problem was you just had this barrier because everyone had their masks on,” he said. “So you couldn’t go to the pubs, you couldn’t go to the restaurants, everything was locked down. So I didn’t get a chance to see that.
‘But great hiking, great culture, really fun. Rainy, miserable weather, and then it gets hot. It gets in the 80s and people meltdown completely they can’t handle it. But I loved it.”
Patrick was spotted taking in the sights earlier this year, sharing plenty of snaps from his adventures on Instagram.
