Paris Hilton to produce in-depth documentary… about herself

Paris Hilton is an ICON.

An entrepreneur, actress, DJ and author, she's given us reality television gems such as The Simple Life, and Paris Hilton's My New Bff.  That's without mentioning her short-term music career, bringing TUNES like this to our undeserving ears. It's hard to deny that she's a woman of many talents. Given her previous success at most ventures, it's no surprise that the media icon is producing an "unflinching, authorized" documentary about her life.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, producers of the project 9.14 Pictures and XYZ Films used the Cannes Film Festival to announce to buyers the as-yet-untitled documentary. The film will see Hilton divulge what exactly made her famous, reflect on how the spotlight has contributed to the person she is and examine the impact her image has made on young women today. Don Argott and Sheena Joyce, directors of the project confirmed the news:

“Paris Hilton is a modern day-Marilyn Monroe — beautiful, iconized, world famous, shaped by mass media and misunderstood." "... We are thrilled to work with Paris to explore her complicated relationship with the public, the press and the politics that shape our perception of a modern celebrity."

Production for the documentary will commence in Ibiza at the end of the Summer. HOW UNREAL? *hyperventilates* We're just wondering will Nicole Richie make any appearances?
