Samantha Mumba has hit back at Jennifer Maguire following comments by the RTÉ presenter about a picture Mumba had posted to Instagram.
The pregnant singer had come under fire from fans when she posted the picture after being involved in a car crash.
Many fans deemed the picture to be “inappropriate” while Jennifer Maguire, who is also pregnant, stated in her column with the Irish Sun: “How did it even enter her head at that point that this would be a good time to tweet? It’s so bizarre to me.”
In response, Samantha defended the pictured stating that she had taken the snap for insurance purposes and only after it had been affirmed that both she and her unborn baby were safe and well.
“I would have presumed anyone with half a brain, never mind another pregnant woman would have already known my only concern at the actual time was my baby,” she told the Irish Sun.
“To the best of my knowledge, we have never met so I definitely don’t expect any empathy from her. I wish Jennifer well with the rest of her pregnancy.”
