She might have spent the last seven weeks encouraging the contestants of RTE’s hit show Operation Transformation to resist temptation, but it seems the stunning TV star isn’t always so angelic herself.
The 34-year-old fitness and health fanatic has revealed that she does enjoy a few indulgences from time-to-time.
Speaking to VIP magazine, Kathryn said:“I get involved as much as I can — they all have my number if they need me and I’m out on the Curragh in my tracksuit with them each week. They also know that I’m generally out partying on a Friday until 3 or 4am, and I may have a Chinese takeaway too if I want.
“I do love my food but I work hard and play hard. I’ve never been skinny, and I have to work very hard to keep my weight in check, so I think they know it’s not that easy for me either.
“I’m not a model, I need clothes that fit me right and I have a drawer full of Spanx!
The Carlow native has been enjoying a successful if hectic start to the year, with both Operation Transformation and The Voice launching at the same time but she also admitted that 2012 was a tough year for her, following her split from ex Enda.

“It was a difficult year, I’m not going to lie. I had so many highs and lows.
“TV success as well as great news from my family and friends provided the highs, but obviously the biggest low was the end of my relationship.
“In saying that, I never wish time away and I never thought, ‘God I can’t wait for 2013 to start’ because I think life is for living and obstacles are thrown in your path — things happen but they happen to make you stronger.”
Kathryn also told the magazine that she felt lucky that she had six months to deal with the break up privately, away from the public eye and the press, giving both her and Enda time to heal.
She added: “I’m just very pragmatic. We went through what we went through and that’s where it is.
“I’m focusing on work and that’s where I am now. I’m not looking forward and I’m not looking back.”
Operation Transformation pulled in 645,000 viewers for its final reveal show on Wednesday night, making it one of RTE’s most successful to date.
