It is a huge change from Tree Hill.
Former One Tree Hill Sophia Bush will officially guest-star in Jane the Virgin’s final season.
According to TV Line, her character’s name is Julie and she will be appearing in the 12th episode of the series – although not much else about her role has been revealed.
Justin Baldoni, who plays Rafael, first revealed the news on Instagram alongside a photo of himself, Bush and Gina Rodriguez, who plays Jane.
Of the newest addition to their show, he said:
“I can’t tell you who she is playing except that some of you may not be happy about it.”
After that cliffhanger from last season (which you can read more about here – we’re not going to spoil it, don’t worry), we can only imagine what that means.

The former Chicago P.D. actress re-gramed the photo, adding on her own Instagram account:
“When one of your favorite ladies calls you and says ‘will you come play in an episode for my last season!?’ AND that means you also get to play with one of your favorite dudes!? Whelp. You say YES!

The CW series is due to come back to telly screens in North America for its fifth and final season on March 27.
The network recently ordered a pilot for a Jane the Virgin spin-off, Jane the Novela, which would be based on Jane Gloriana Villanueva’s fictional novels.
The news comes soon after it was revealed another One Tree Hill alumni would be joining a different CW show – Riverdale.
Chad Michael Murray, who played Lucas Scott, will be joining the show as the “enigmatic leader” of the Farm, Edgar Evernever.
