One of Harry’s friends has had a dig at Meghan and we’re out here rolling our eyes

Meghan Markle's currently taking some time out from public life - but the Meghan-bashing certainly hasn't stopped.

She is on maternity leave after giving birth last month and we're hoping that she hasn't been listening to the radio in between feeds. Lizzie Cundy, who says she's close to Meghan and with friends of Prince Harry (we're calling BS here), has claimed that the Duchess has "pushed out" Harry's friends. The English socialite said that Meghan is "ruling the roost" and keeping her husband from some of his closest friends. Ignoring the fact that Harry is now married with a child and so can hardly be expected to be out on the tear every week, Lizzie told talkRADIO;

"One thing I have heard—because I’m friends with a lot of Harry’s friends, one is a very close friend—is that she has pushed them all out "She’s ruling the roost. This friend, I won’t name him, he had Harry on his shoulders in Las Vegas when he got into that trouble. "He was a really good, solid friend —covered for him, everything—he has been elbowed right out.”

Sigh. Anyone else think this sounds pretty questionable? This seems like someone who's trying to get some publicity by attaching her name to the Meghan's rather than anything else. We're also fed up of the 'Duchess Difficult' narrative being pinned on Meghan. Speaking to broadcaster Gayle King last month, writer Maiysha Kai pointed out that the whole thing is pretty racist and sexist.

"Whether it is saying she is difficult or demanding, there is a subtext there that reads very much into this angry black woman stereotype that leads into a domineering woman stereotype and that doesn’t just allow her to be a human being who has agency and who wants to do the best that she can."

Agreed.
