The TV star and her husband Bill who welcomed baby Duke into the world via gestational surrogate in September are eager to add to their brood as soon as possible.
Speaking to Life & Style magazine she said “We’ve got a few embryos on ice. They’re ready to go. A lot of people have one kid and it’s enough. But for us, we’re having so much fun that we’d love to have another child.”
The couple who tied the knot in 2007 struggled to conceive naturally and it was during Giuliana’s third bout of IVF that she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Following a double mastectomy, the star is now cancer free but cannot conceive naturally so will have to explore other options and said they would consider using the same surrogate.
“We’d have to go down the surrogacy path again. Thankfully, before I went on my medication, we did another round [of in vitro fertilisation], so we have embryos ready to go.”
And for any fans of the couple who are squeamish, look away now – Giuliana has also revealed the couple are going to broadcast Duke’s birth on their TV show ‘Giuliana & Bill’ including home video camera footage of their surrogate Delphine.
