Just a few short weeks ago, rumours were flying around the place that Jennifer Lopez was just dying to race down the aisle with her toyboy Casper Smart. Now, however, it seems as though the singer has had a change of heart.
The Irish Independent reports that J.Lo has allegedly said that she “needs time out” from her relationship with Casper.
The singer is believed to be questioning her relationship with the hunky dancer because she is worried about his motives. Apparently poor Jennifer doesn’t know if Casper is being genuine, or if he’s only with her for her fame and her fortunes.
Recently Casper was accused of visiting an exotic massage parlour (the ones that give customers an, ahem, “happy ending”). While these claims were dismissed as being “false and defamatory” it seems as though they have caused J.Lo to re-evaluate her relationship.
“They had an argument and she said it may be best for them to spend some time apart. She said she wasn’t breaking up with him, but they could do with taking some steps back,” said a source.
“She’s told Casper she didn’t intend to get so serious so soon after her marriage break-up. She still wants to be with him, but she needs to take some time out,” the source added.
According to reports, Jennifer is starting to wonder if she may have gotten caught up in the romance and rushed into things with Casper.
“While Jen doesn’t believe the allegations, she does sometimes worry about why Casper is with her. He says he’d love her if she was ‘nobody,’ but Jen has been burnt in the past,” said a source.
