Did Obama just reveal the gender of Beyoncé’s twins?

So rumours regarding whether the twins have been born have spread like wild-fire all week.

Countless fans have assumed the twins have already arrived but the gender was always a significant question too. Now it seems former US president, Barack Obama may have cleared things up for us. Thanks Barack! On Thursday night Jay-Z was supposed to have attended the 48^th Annual Songwriters Hall of Fame Induction and Awards Gala in the Big Apple. The hip-hop icon was to be the first rapper of all time to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame – sounds like a big deal ey? However, Jay-Z was nowhere to be seen and neither was Queen Bey. Why on earth would they miss such a rare and momentous occasion? Well surely there was something even more precious to tend to.

However, nothing stopped Jay-Z from expressing his gratitude and giving a shout out on Twitter to the many artists he admires – and oh there were plenty. During the acceptance, which was taken by Chairman of Warner Chappell Music Jon Platt on Jay-Z’s behalf, a congratulation from Obama was also shared with the audience. Obama begins by congratulating the many inductees at this years Hall of Fame Awards before he begins making a touching tribute about his ‘good friend’ Mr. Carter. How flattered must Jay-Z be? Obama pointed out all the men have in common from growing up having very little to finding huge success through hard work – he also pointed out the fact that the two men have wives far more famous than they are. And here it is… The giveaway! Obama stated, “Jay and I are also fools for our daughters, though he’s gonna have me beat once those two twins show up.” Surely he just gave it all away as Obama has two daughters already meaning if Beyoncé gave birth to two girls, Jay-Z would have him ‘beat’.

We’re sure the delighted parents will have far too much love in their hearts at present to have even a hint of anger after Obama spilled the beans. From here, we suppose we’ll have to wait until mum and dad decide to share more details. Welcome to the world little ones.
