The childhood home of singer Daniel O’Donnell is currently up for sale. The house, which has hosted many the tea party, is on the market and the estate agents are hoping to fetch around €400,000 for the property.

According to the BBC, the family are currently looking for a smaller house as the current property has become too big for them. Daniel’s sister Kathleen is currently living in the house with her husband and Daniel’s mother, Julia, but her family have all moved on and now the house is just too big for the current residents.

Estate agent Gavin Boyle, who is looking after the house on the market, has claimed they have been astounded about the amount of enquiries they are receiving for the property. He commented: “Because of Daniel’s association with the property, we do think that it will get more attention, possibly, but at the same time we are going to be more stringent on the inquiries we do receive for the property itself.”

This could be great news for Daniel O’Donnell fans who have often made the Irish pilgrimage to the house in Donegal to meet Daniel and his mammy. Perhaps they could consider setting it up as a tourist attraction…
